-DESIGN PROCESS

T.E.A.M. WORK- Together Everyone Achieves More!
Design/Build is an interactive effort between our designers, trained professional crews and client. The goal is to construct a landscape that uniquely reflects our client’s personality. Careful listening and observation by our designers achieves this goal.

Significant cost and resources can be saved by this “Single Source” responsibility.
A Single Source will also provide the client with Quality, detailed schedule management and communication between project participants.

Design/Build Process

Initial Contact
We will collect some basic information from you when you contact our office. This will include contact information, the type of project you are interested in and how you heard about us.
You can also submit a form through our website, or email us at rallinfo@egralljrlandscape.com
You will be contacted within 24 hours.

Consultation
We will meet with the potential client to discuss expectations, priorities and walk your property taking notes and listen to your ideas. We will engage in conversation to help create an overall picture of the design. An anticipated budget for work is very important for our designer to know. A budget is vital to the project’s product selection, size, elements and scope of work.
From this meeting the designer will be able to decide if a design is necessary or a cost analysis can be prepared. If a design is needed, a design proposal is written. The design proposal includes the cost of the design, how long the process will take and what items and/or areas are to be addressed with the design.
If the client approves of the proposal, a deposit is required to begin the design process.

Site Survey
We will prepare a site inventory, measure and photograph the area where the landscape plan will be developed.

Preliminary Plan and Estimate
Our landscape architects/designers will prepare a concept plan and “estimated” project cost based on the requirements and ideas discussed at the initial consultation. This will be presented to the client. Any revisions to the plan will be made as necessary.

Once you approve the concept plan and agree to the “estimated” project cost, we will request a minimal deposit for the landscape construction.

Master Plan
A detailed master plan and construction contract is completed and presented to the client.
Once we receive the signed contract and second deposit, we will schedule the job and order materials. Work typically begins within four to six weeks of contract acceptance.

Installation
Jobs can range from small gardens to large estate master plans, therefore our crews could be working at your property from one day to several months.
Site work such as removals and grading take place first. Masonry and hardscaping are typically the second step. Bed preparation and soil conditioning are next.
Following proper horticultural standards, our technicians install the plants.
The finishing touches are put on when we install the landscape lighting, mulch the beds and sod or seed lawn areas.
All plants are thoroughly watered, stake trees if necessary, tags are removed from plants and work area is cleaned.

Walk through
Upon completion of the project, one of our design representatives will schedule a time to meet with you to perform a final job inspection. Any items of concern will be promptly addressed at this time.
The project warranty and our maintenance care instructions will be reviewed with you.
Please contact us at any time if you have questions about the project.
